Most kids who struggle in math don’t have a math problem. They have a confidence problem.

That’s where I come in.

Grade Turnarounds

His grades have improved significantly in Algebra. He began approaching math with a level of enthusiasm and independence we had never seen before.

Alberto A. · Parent, Cranston

He cares about my son’s growth and ability to learn more so than any tutor we have had. Joseph is patient, creative, thoughtful, and a perfect fit for my son. If you are looking for a tutor for your child, look no further.

I know what your kid is going through

Because I lived it. In middle school, I got my first C in math. By junior year of high school, I was about to get dropped to a lower level. Then one teacher changed everything — he gave me the confidence that I didn’t need to be a “math person” to succeed, that anyone can learn math with the right instruction. Next test: 100. From then on, straight A’s.

Senior year I won the American Mathematical Society Award at Bishop Hendricken—the top math student in the school. That experience is why I tutor the way I do. I don’t just help with tonight’s homework. I find the exact spot where your child got lost, and I rebuild from there. That’s when math starts to click.

$90per hour

Most sessions run 90 minutesYour home, the library, or online

First session money-back guarantee

If it’s not a fit, you don’t pay.

Where do sessions happen?

In-person at your home or a local library, or virtual over Zoom — whatever works best for your family.

What grades and subjects do you cover?

I work with students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and SAT Math prep — typically grades 7 through 12.

How often should my child have sessions?

Most students meet once a week. If a big test is coming up, we can add sessions as needed.

What does the first session look like?

We start with a free 15-minute phone call to talk about your student. Then the first session is all about finding the gaps — you’ll know within one session if it’s a good fit.

How much does it cost?

$90 per hour. No contracts, no commitments — just pay as you go. The initial phone consultation is free.

My kid has had tutors before and it didn’t help.

Most tutors re-explain what the teacher already said. I do something different — I find the exact gap in your child’s understanding and rebuild from there. That’s why the grades actually change. And if the first session doesn’t click, you don’t pay.

Let’s talk about your kid.
